Glad to hear you did a good job :) Did you know that Ledoyen, the restaurant I worked at, are famous in their Kouign-Amann? one time I took some leftover dough for this sin pastry and baked it for friends. See here The Ice-cream you loved I thought wasn't at all that wowing, we have better ice-cream in TLV, you should visit the big city sometime! Kiss Xx

During our weekend in Paris (last week) I tried to fit in some pastries too. Based on recommendations from David Lebovitz’s app – “Paris Pastry top 25” (found by chance on the web) we had “Kouignettes” at “Georges Larnicol” – heavy and buttery (very buttery!) cakes from Brittany and FANTASTIC ice cream at Berthillon (twice!). We also had eclairs at “L’Eclair de génie” (Christophe Adam) that I read about in the Globes magazine -very pretty and varied, but not wow tasting (like B’s ice cream!). Saw the line at Laduree’s and decided not to wait. planed to pick some up at the airport, but truth be said, couldn’t bring myself to pay 10 NIS for a cookie! sorry. that really puts me off!
We had fantastic croissants at the boulangerie near our hotel too. all in all – yummy visit!
